Founded in 2006 by Sarah J. Easaw MD, board certified Hematologist and Oncologist, Ocean Hematology & Oncology provides much more than just patient care. Our highly qualified staff is dedicated to treating each patient and his or her family with respect and care, compassion, and the highest standards of care.

Our office offers immaculately clean and peaceful surroundings, and the newly renovated and spacious infusion room allows patients to relax while receiving chemotherapy. Families can enjoy the comforts of the waiting area, which is supplemented by a large library, coffee bar, and snacks. We also have a boutique in our office for patients, with a display of wigs, hats, scarves, and costume jewelry, - donated by well-wishers.

Our Physician

Sarah J. Easaw, MD, is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology, and completed her internship and residency at Harlem Hospital Center, affiliated with Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She then completed a three-year fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York.

With more than 15 years of experience, Dr. Easaw's clinical expertise is equal to her ability to treat each patient as an individual, providing compassionate, thorough care. Dr. Easaw is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) and a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the American Society of Hematology (ASH).

The staff at Ocean Hematology & Oncology – our physician Dr. Sarah J. Easaw, oncology-certified registered nurses, administrative staff, and medical assistants – are highly qualified in their respective areas and provide compassionate care to all of our patients. Our oncology nurses are well-versed in the administration of chemotherapy, and are also familiar with recognizing and alleviating the physical and emotional effects of cancer treatment. When patients and their families have questions or concerns, our friendly, knowledgeable administrative staff members are available to answer and address them. Our skilled medical assistants perform tasks such as blood draws, phlebotomy, and injections in a comforting manner that puts patients at ease.
